        *** BUG IN DIVI 4.13 ***
As you may be aware, Elegant Themes recently released version 4.13 of Divi, this time adding hundreds of new FontAwesome icons to the icon fields of all modules.

Please be aware that there is currently a bug in Elegant Themes’ implementation of this new feature which causes icon fields in third-party modules to loose the user’s selected icon and revert back to the default icon. Elegant Themes are aware of this issue and are working on a fix for it.

Further more, while in most cases the standard Elegant Icons will continue to work normally in third-party modules, the new FontAwesome icons will not work until third-party developers have updated their products to support this new feature.

If you’re a Divi-Modules customer, the extended icons feature affects the following Divi-Modules products: Table Maker, TablePress Styler, Image Box, and Typewriter.

Personally, I recommend NOT updating to Divi 4.13 until Elegant Themes have fixed their bug and third-party developers have released their updates to support this new feature.

        I hope this helps someone!😊💪

I hope this doesn’t apply to those projects where no third party icon plugin used.

@hugh As far as I understand it only affects third party modules. They will continue to display the correct icon until you open them in the Visual Builder. Then, the icon will revert to the default and will be lost if you save the page.

Is this why I’m having to go through sites daily and change the drop down menu icons back to V as they’ve changed to 3?

@ann probably not, I’ve got that issue as well, but not on latest divi version. Who are you hosting with?

FYI – That character in the menu is, and has always been a number 3 – that doesn’t change. It is the font used for the 3 that is the issue. The dropdown ‘caret’ symbol is a numerical 3. The glyph/shape in the ETModules font that represents the ascii character 51 decimal 33 Hexidecimal (the number 3) is the caret symbol (the v like shape). If your css gets disconnected in some way – the munu doesnt know to use the symbol font and renders it with a fallback (non symbol) standard font – hence the 3 appears again.

So you look to find out why the font css has broken.
