Can’t revise pages

  help. Everything was fine on my site until recently. I revised a page last week. But now I can’t revise anything. I click Edit with Divi and nothing ever loads.
  I put divi into SAFE mode, no change.
  
  Says the theme is up to date.
  Wordpress just updated?
  I just saw I have a shit ton of these message from Wordfence
  “Old WordPress core file not removed during update: wp-includes/block-patterns/two-images.php
  Type: File”
  Wordpress 5.8
  
  What do I do?

  I reinstalled WP and the “leftover files” went from 21 down to 4.
  
  Now I can edit old pages with DIVI.
  
  I can do NOTHING new. No new pages or posts will use the divi builder. Blank.

  OK I started deactivating one plugin after another until I found the culprit.

      Exactly what I did. Hardly any conflicts with Rankmath compared to the Yoast plugin that usually liked to brighten most weeks with one unexplained error or another.

  FYI on the issue of some old core files in WordPress not being removed – this has been escalated to the folks at WordPress by the folks at Wordfence. We have been told to expect an update to correct the problem in WP Version 5. 8. 1. They also said if you don’t want to wait for the update – you can go in and delete the individual files.
